Story Time

Story time is a 30 to 45 minute program filled with literacy enrichment activities for children.  Each program includes stories, songs, fingerplays, and crafts centered around a weekly theme.

Parents/caregivers are encouraged to stay with their children during each  program, as interaction and assistance are key.  Children will have an opportunity to have fun as they interact with others to develop language and literacy skills, as well as social and motor skills.

Story times are held at all library locations.  Winter, spring, fall, and summer story time sessions are held throughout the library system.  Please check the library events calendar for start dates for each session.  Days and times are:

Main Library (New Lexington) Tuesdays 10:30 a.m.
Crooksville Branch   Mondays  10:30 a.m.
Corning Branch Fridays  10:30 a.m.
Junction City Branch Mondays 1:00 p.m.
Shawnee Branch Thursdays 6:30 p.m.
Somerset Branch Wednesdays 10:30 a.m.
Thornville Branch Wednesdays 1:00 p.m.
