National Library Week Card Project

Happy National Library Week!
If you'd like to see the collected library cards in person, they will be on display at the New Lexington Library.

To celebrate National Library Week 2020, we've been collecting library cards from all over to create an interactive map to showcase all of the wonderful nationwide (and beyond!) libraries. Cards come from 46+ states and one all the way from the United Kingdom! These cards, letters, notes, welcome flyers, and more are all included in the interactive map below! Click on any marker on the map to be taken to that library's location and view the photos!

For non-Ohio libraries, click on any GREEN marker on the map to see the library, a picture of their system's card(s), and in some cases, welcome flyers or information about their library or town/city! You can also view the library website. In some states you'll find multiple libraries who sent cards!

For Ohio libraries, click on any ORANGE marker on the map to see the library, a picture of their system's card(s), and in some cases, welcome flyers or information about their library or town/city! You can also view the library website. In some counties, you'll find multiple library cards.

But wait! There's more! There's one PURPLE marker on the map across the pond, as they say. Zoom out until you can see the PURPLE marker and click on it to see a library card all the way from the UK!

To view the map legend, click the icon in the top left-hand corner of the embedded map below. If you'd like to view the map in full screen, click the icon in the top right-hand corner of the embedded map below.
