Join us for the NASA Orbiting the
Sun live stream event on September 23rd, 2023! This NASA event is open to
Kindergarten through 4th grade students. The program begins at 10 am and will end at 11:30 am. We will gather to watch the live stream in the Meeting Room of the New Lexington location.
During this NASA Orbiting the Sun
program, students will have conversations with NASA experts, learn how NASA
uses solar instruments to view outer space, and complete a hands-on
activity. During the hands-on activity, students will make their own
solar viewer. This NASA STEM project will allow students to project an
image of the Sun and safely view its dynamics. Similar to NASA engineers
and scientists, this challenge will allow participating students to experiment
with various materials to create, test, and make changes to their solar viewer.
