For youth of all ages, tweens, and teens! Join us on Saturday, October 21 at 10am for our third NASA event, all about the Artemis Program!
About the program:
What is Artemis? With Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. NASA will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish the first long-term presence on the Moon. NASA's scientists and engineers will use what they learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.
This NASA Artemis-inspired program will be led by our own Youth Services Assistant, Cass. During our time together, we will enjoy a dramatic reading of NASA's graphic novel, "First Woman NASA's Promise for Humanity Issue No. 1: Dream to Reality" which focuses on the fictional Callie Rodriguez, the first woman to explore the moon, and her trusty robot RT. We will then work together to build a WalkR-BOT from an ELENCO Teach Tech kit. Participants will have the opportunity to name our new library robot who will be put on display for all to enjoy.
Registration is REQUIRED: STEAM Saturday Registration
