Homeschool: Building Bridges

Sixty-six years ago, on this date (November 1, 1957) the Mackinac Bridge opened to traffic.  Homeschoolers will have the opportunity to learn the history of how the 5th longest suspension bridge in the world came to be, to study the bridge's structural design, and to recreate the bridge using a variety of provided materials.

Tweens (ages 9-12) are invited to join us for a Halloween Adventure at our Crooksville branch! This ghostly event will begin at 7 pm and free snacks will be served.  More hallowed evening details to come...

Tweens attending this Halloween Adventure night are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to make the night even more fun and spooktacular! School rules apply to all costumes worn to this library event.

Gentle Yoga - Somerset

Gentle Yoga is a chair-based yoga program that can be done sitting on a chair or using the chair for support while standing. Perfect for all ages and any yoga skill sets, this program will be held at the Somerset Branch Library on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, September through December.

**In partnership with Karissa Carpenter, Certified Yoga Instructor**

Registration is REQUIRED. Spots are limited to 20.

Tween: Cupcake Wars

This program is open to all Tweens ages 9-12 years old.

Tweens will decorate cupcakes based on a selected fall theme with provided supplies before creating an eye catching display for their freshly decorated cupcakes.
